Women Who Startup is proud to kick off a new task force and project called, Inclusion Works.
Inclusion Works will be a team of people that speak, network, inspire and welcome members across Denver, Colorado to be more aware of Denver Startup Week (DSW) and other startup and tech related community efforts and events. Follow along on twitter at @InclusionWorks_
Welcoming a more diverse and inclusive participation from all of Denver into the tech and startup community so that innovation continues to be welcoming to everybody in Denver and surroundings in Colorado.
We are setting out to build the initial Ambassador team this Spring 2017 and will be recruiting a very diverse team of 20-40 people. We will start taking Ambassador applications soon.
Inclusion Works, Ambassadors
An inspiring group of people who will set out to welcome more people from every corner of our overall communities who may be interested in tech, startups, making things, innovation, community events and community and support in general. This team will be empowered to represent all of our innovation community and must educate and welcome more people to come and enjoy the free week of events and festivities, making DSW 2017 the most inclusive, yet.
The Ambassador team will be given Inclusion Works t-shirts and stickers and pointed to our information on womenwhostartup.com/inclusionworks during outreach – starting Summer 2017.
This is about change. This is about community. This is about making people feel safe and welcome and supported. This is also about attending events during DSW and paying attention, supporting women, minorities and people with disabilities to feel like they not only belong but that they are so important.
Thank you for being apart of making Denver and Colorado more inclusive when it comes to our tech and startup communities. Everything is better when everyone has an opportunity to create, innovate and participate. Take the Inclusion Works pledge and tweet us: “We pledge to make our network and community more inclusive and diverse thanks to the support of @InclusionWorks_ by @WomenWhoStartup”. Tweet this
